The Girl Scouts of Nassau County take part in Cookie University, a business-literacy program that teaches them more than just selling cookies.  They are earning a business-wise badge for when they learn how to present themselves, create a sales pitch, create advertising and marketing materials, and design their own logos.  Women from different businesses on Long Island come in to teach the girls about selling themselves, to have poise, and how important it is to have goals.  The girls also make fliers to hand out around town and to people they know to help sell more cookies.
