We join Walk FM's KT Mills on a tour of the Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center. The Center has many different programs for both the pets and their families. The Animal Shelter goes to schools and educates students for a possible career in animal care. They visit nursing homes with their outreach programs and speak to community groups about the animals in Brookhaven. They also promote inoculations and, of course, adoptions. The shelter now holds nearly 140 dogs and 60 cats.
