Patchogue Rotary Animal Assisted Therapy goes to nursing homes, hospitals, and psych centers to visit patients and lift their spirits.  The dogs offer the children and adults mental therapy as they show love, give kisses, and let everyone pet them.  Any dogs admitted into the program must be in good health, be well-behaved, and have a good temperament.  Each dog is temperament-tested by the head doctor of PRAAT and given one-on-one specialty training on how to approach those with mental or physical disabilities.
