"The Sayville School District in Suffolk County, Long Island is 50 miles east of New York City and serves approximately 3,300 students in its three elementary buildings, the middle school and the high school. The district has a comprehensive program of study from kindergarten through 12th grade. In partnership with students, parents, and the community, the district provides students with an academic environment that fosters independent thinking, discovery and knowledge while also guiding them in the development of a sense of honesty, respect, and integrity. We are extremely proud of our tradition of excellence in the diversity of our academic programs, in the interscholastic athletic program, in music, and in the visual arts. Our students have historically participated in summer enrichment programs and have earned national, state, and county recognition in both athletic and academic competitions. Additionally, our students surpass the national and state averages on the SAT and the district has earned outstanding grades on the New York State Report Card."
