Kids get a hands-on educational sailing experience.
By Video Journalist Waldo Cabrera
The East End Seaport Museum & Marine Foundation takes kids on an educational boat ride on the SoundWaters.
The goal of this trip is to teach Long Island's youth about the ecology of the Long Island Sound and how to protect our environment.
Museum volunteers and the SoundWaters crew also show the kids how to operate the sailboat, tie and sing a sea shanty while they work.
