When looking for a point of intrigue on Long Island, the Garvies Point Museum and Preserve in Glen Cove should always be in mind.

Educational and fascinating, the museum was established in 1967 and is dedicated to the natural history of Long Island. This includes geology, archaeology, Native American culture, and marine exhibits, indoor and outdoor.

Garvies Point retains some of its most popular original exhibits, while adding more and more interesting additions from the archaic, traditional and woodland phases.
