Description: The 7th Annual Pumpkin Fling is hosted by the Cornell Cooperative Extension in Yaphank. There are three divisions: the younger division, adults, and ages 14-18. Using their own trebuchets, students fling their pumpkins at targets out on the farm, aiming to meet their record of 860 feet. Team Harbor Hawk Flinger wins first place with a fling of 532 feet.
