During the digital newfronts in New York City, Felix Sención of the Mundial Sports Network became the first hispanic owned company to sponsor a Jackie Robinson Scholar.
The $60,000 donation will go to provide college assistance to two latino students.
It's ironic that although Jackie Robinson was instrumental in opening doors for all people of color, which includes hispanic baseball players, until this year not one Hispanic-owned company had stepped up to the plate to honor Mr. Robinson's legacy.
Congratulations to the Mundial Sports Network, now let's see which Hispanic company is willing to step up to the plate and swing for the fences for our kids.
