Students in the Nassau Community College Fashion Program work on a project at the Unique Thrift Store in Westbury.  Their project is called Thrift Shop Chic, in which each student is paired with a designer, who has to find an outfit in a certain shopping category, with $50 in less than 30 minutes.  The girls rush around the store and find fabulous outfits for totals of $30 and $15.  The program at Nassau Community College is a 2-year Associate degree program in Fashion Apparel Design.
