"Comsewogue High School in Port Jefferson Station, NY is a suburban school located 60 miles east of New York City. We are on the North Shore of Long Island just south of the Long Island Sound. Our student population is just over 1000 and we have a professional teaching staff of approximately 90.
Comsewogue High School has a strong commitment to excellence in education. We offer many Advanced Placement and elective courses to complement our solid core curriculum. Teachers are encouraged to develop technology lessons and to spend time in our two new computer lab rooms. We are regular participants in mathematics and science competitions as well as literary contests. Our Art department has an annual show that inspires excitement throughout the building. The fruits of the student/faculty collaborations include a school newspaper, a literary magazine, theater and concert productions, a yearbook and a long list of fund-raising events for community organizations.
The mission of Comsewogue High School is to instill a sense of social responsibility, a love of learning, a pride in cooperative effort and to graduate young adults who are responsible to family, community and self."
